Overview

This is a tour from December 25 to 29, 2019 to the best of the Northern Park of Tanzania for “Serengeti”. The parks are home to small and large animals including birds and reptiles. You will also visit Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater, and enjoy, experience nature, wildlife, and habitat of the fauna and flora in the natural areas.

5-Day Explore Tanzania Safari – Year End Special

You will be picked up from the airport/Arusha by your driver-guide and drive to Tarangire for a full day game drive. You will spend overnight at the lodge/camp.

Tarangire National Park Description: Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a lovely quiet park famous for its elephant migration, baobab trees, and tree-climbing lions. Expect to see zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and more.

Accommodation: Serian Tarangire Camp

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the Ndutu area to view the great migration.

Serengeti National Park Description: Tanzania’s most famous park, home to the annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras. Rich in resident wildlife like lions, buffalo, giraffes, and gazelles.

Accommodation: Olkarien Eco Safari Camp

Full-day game drive in central Serengeti with a picnic lunch. Evening return to camp for campfire, dinner and overnight stay.

Serengeti Description: Known for the Great Migration, this region hosts large numbers of predators and prey including lions, cheetahs, and thousands of wildebeests and zebras.

Accommodation: Olkarien Eco Safari Camp

Depart from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch. In the evening, drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Description: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ngorongoro is the world’s largest inactive, intact volcanic caldera. Wildlife includes rhinos, flamingos, hippos, and lions.

Morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park with picnic lunch. In the evening, drive to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel (arranged independently).

Lake Manyara Description: Known for its tree-climbing lions and birdlife, Lake Manyara is a compact park rich in acacia woodland, elephants, flamingos, and other water birds.
